John 10:10 - The thief (Satan) cometh not but to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (he's not against fun!)
What has been "stolen" from you (past childhood issues, health, etc)? Has your joy/happiness been killed? Is there a certain area being destroyed?
In order to rise above deception, get our "stuff" back, to be "reborn" we need to know what the TRUTH is. John 8:32 says - Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
For instance, I was counseling with a girl one night who wanted to commit suicide. I asked her to tell me about it. She was 16 and her 10 year old brother called her a whore. For some of us, being called a whore by a little brother or sister wouldn't get to us (we have our ways to get back at them). Siblings can talk all sorts of garbage. But to her it cut like a knife. It wounded her. It was life and death. Satan knew the right words and right person to get to her. She needed to know truth - she already knew it, but didn't realize it. I flat out asked her "Well, are you a whore?" (wouldn't think a whore would be upset if you called her a whore, but I dunno). She got mad "Hell no I aint!" (Ding! the TRUTH). We talked a few more minutes and she realized that she didn't have to believe any lies coming from anybody's mouth (including her own).
I have 2 male friends right now that think because they never had girlfriends, they are ugly and are gay. Kids at school would make fun of them for not having girlfriends and had told them that they must be gay or something was wrong with them. And these guys believed it. It's hard to get rid of "stinking thinking" after believing it for so long.
I'm 35 years old and still a virgin (proud of it). People say I must be a lesbian then. Uh, no. Just waiting for my honeymoon.
Satan can also bring garbage from your past where people have hurt you or you had messed up. He will put little saying in your ear like "You're nothing but a screw-up", "You're a loser", etc. I'm overweight (by a bunch) and I hear voices like "Fat Cow, shouldn't have eaten that" especially when I'm sucking-it-in to put on jeans.
We all have our issues and hang ups, but if we know the truth about our identity in Christ we can see/hear these lies for what they are - Satan's "bullets" to try to bring us down. We don't have to claim the labels others (or our selves) put on us. ALL that matters is what God (or creator) says about us. And to know what he says about us, we have to crack open the Bible. Or you can google "My Identity in Christ", but I would like for you to read it directly from the Book if you have one.
But for those who are not Christians (in Christ) they don't have this assurance in their identity. They go by feelings, the weather, what the media says, what the bullies label them, etc. They can feel one thing right now and 10 minutes later, feel something else. It causes a lot of confusion, deception, anxiety, headaches, etc. At the end of each post, I have typed out a sample prayer that if you can pray as a direction on how to receive Christ/Jesus into your heart/life/mind - he fills it all. You want him to. We don't do so good on our own. Time for someone else to take over - less tiring that way.
I love young girls and young women. I want to encourage them to be all the best they can be for themselves, the world, and for God to be able to use them in the way He created them to be. Dear Heavenly Father, I pray right now for each person reading this. I pray that you give them a clear understanding of your love for them. Fill them with your love, power, and presence. Remove anything in them that is not of you - anxiety, self-hate, confusion, sexual perversion, rebellion, unforgiveness toward themselves, unforgivenes toward someone(s) else, bad influences, addictions, any labels that has been placed on them. Re-new their minds, hearts, joy, health, families, faith, love, trust. I pray for a wall of protection around their homes, families, health, schools, jobs, circle of friends, parents, hearts, minds, and bodies. Guide their feet as to where they need to go. Guide their hands as to what you want them to do. Guide their mouths as to what needs to be said (or not said). Continue to shape and mold each of these readers into the people you have created them to be. All this I ask in Jesus' name, Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.
I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.
You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.
Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved.
Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself.
Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life. AMEN
